What are the differences between high shoes and low shoes?

Nice look. Bought for my 9 year old son's school. Always wore decathlon sneakers which lasted about 3 months. we were directed towards this model for better resistance. Wear after...6 days. return to decathlon who believes that my son does not take care of it without possible change
