To take your measurements:

  • Head:  Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.
  • Chest:  Wrap a measuring tape around your back and come forward as far as your chest goes. Make sure it is straight and parallel to the ground.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Size:  Wrap a tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, above your belly button.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Main:  Hold a tape measure at the bend of your thumb. Wrap around your palm.
  • Feet: hold on stand against a wall, heels touching the wall. Place an object (eg a book...) against your longest toe.

      Laboratory tests are conducted to validate the following elements: tearing of eyelets and straps, gluing, toxicology, UV resistance, abrasion of the sole and upper components, accelerated aging. These tests allow us to improve the quality of our products and prevent premature wear of our hiking boots.

      Comfort

      Our nature hiking shoes have the unique promise of increased comfort for the user; we have therefore put in this shoe different ingredients to take care of your feet such as the midsoles and inner soles in EVA (Ethylene-vinyl acetate) or the collar of the shoe (upper part of the heel) which incorporates a synthetic foam for more comfort of reception and use.

      Grippy soles on footpaths

      The sole design was the subject of extensive research in our laboratories. We favored a specific rubber formulation to optimize grip and adhesion. We systematically seek the best compromise for walking on soft or mineral footpaths (forest or coastal type). Use on the road may accelerate the wear of your shoes and cause you discomfort. They are not suitable for hiking in the high mountains.

      Which pair of socks is suitable for ARPENAZ500 shoes?

      These shoes offer some breathability, but not enough to wick away all the moisture from your sweat. We therefore advise you to favor hike 100 low or mid socks: they contain cotton which absorbs moisture and they have a terry construction which draws moisture away from your foot. They are also high enough to protect your ankle from the shoe. It is an excellent combination to limit the appearance of blisters.
