Choose the combination that goes with it!
Our wetsuit models are also categorized by water temperature range. Our wetsuits are designed to meet the needs of even the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them suitable for other water sports such as kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, active sea walking (longe-côte), and SUP (stand-up paddleboarding).
Materials
The 2mm surf boots are made of genuine neoprene. The neoprene is lined with synthetic fabric for added durability. Neoprene thickness: 2mm. Neoprene is made of an elastomer foam that has insulating properties. We test and guarantee the quality of our neoprene materials.
Choose your size well
Surfing boots and shoes should be worn snugly to ensure maximum effectiveness. It's normal to feel tight during a dry fitting. Choosing well-fitting shoes and shoes ensures better support and prevents them from swelling with water during surfing.
Stay warm longer with thermal accessories! each temperature range has its own range...
When we are in the water, it is through the extremities of the body (feet, hands, head) that we lose more than half of our body heat. Therefore, here are the recommended accessories: - in water (>17°C) => low neoprene booties. - in water (12 - 17°C): High booties (booties) and gloves. - in water (7 - 12°C): High booties (booties), gloves, hood and hood top.
How to choose the right shoe?
The first criterion for choosing a surf boot is the water temperature. Water temperatures vary depending on the location and the time of year. Therefore, always make sure that the water temperature at your spot corresponds to the recommended temperature range: Water above 20°C. Water between 17 and 22°C. Water between 12 and 17°C. Water between 7 and 12°C. Visit seatemperature.org to find out the temperature at your spot.
What is the Olaian brand?
OLAIAN, DECATHLON'S SURF BRAND Based in Hendaye, in the southwest of France, OLAIAN is Decathlon's surf brand. In our waterfront offices, we can design a surf accessory in a single day, then test it directly in real-life surfing conditions.
thin sole
We have chosen a thin and light polyurethane sole to favor the contact and sensations with the board. Consequently, this shoe is not suitable for long approach walks: in this case, prefer the 3 mm surf shoe which has a thicker and more robust sole.
