GUIDE TO SIZES MEN

To take your measurements:

  • Head:  Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.
  • Chest:  Wrap a measuring tape around your back and come forward as far as your chest goes. Make sure it is straight and parallel to the ground.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Size:  Wrap a tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, above your belly button.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Main:  Hold a tape measure at the bend of your thumb. Wrap around your palm.
  • Feet: hold on stand against a wall, heels touching the wall. Place an object (eg a book...) against your longest toe.

      The anti-UV standards for hats are very specific: The fabric must obviously be anti-UV (UPF index greater than 50) but this is not enough to claim the finished product anti-UV. The hat must also have a panel width that fully protects the face and neck. This Trek 500 hat meets the standard so you can hike with complete peace of mind: you are perfectly protected!

      Why is polyamide more resistant?

      Polyamide has excellent resistance to abrasion and tearing. In addition, this synthetic fiber is not afraid of micro-organisms or mold!

      How is the speed of drying measured?

      The product is machine washed 3 times and then line dried, then immersed in water and measured for the product to return to its pre-wash weight. This hat gets a very good rating of 5 out of 5 stars by returning to its pre-wash weight in less than 80 minutes!
