To develop and enrich our range of football goals with ever more innovative models, I work closely with an engineer and a product designer. Regarding the Classic Goal range of goals, following feedback from our customers, we focused on the objective of transcribing as much as possible the sensations of playing with a real football goal, while guaranteeing a durable, safe and quality product.
Through our observations in the field, we wanted to develop tests related to stability, indeed during a match and too powerful ball shots, the goal can tip over. This is why a tilting test is carried out on our entire range of goals in order to ensure the stability of the product with a requirement of 25°.
We are fortunate to work internally with a mechanical laboratory (located on the B'twin Village site) which allows us to validate the design of the goals for their subsequent production. For example, to assess the strength of the product, we carry out load tests in our laboratory which reproduce the weight of a child. During this test, the goal is put to the test, a load of 35kg is applied and we check that the product does not deform.
This goal is more impact-resistant thanks to its corner and skylight reinforcements, metal fasteners, and stronger round tube. It's also protected against rust for 5 years thanks to an anti-corrosion treatment and more resistant paint. As a result, it withstands 3 times more shots than our previous models and lasts at least 5 years under normal use.
Thanks to a surface treatment (cataphoresis) providing greater protection against rust, this goal is guaranteed for 5 years against corrosion.
