Our team of surfers has developed a boardshort particularly suitable for surfing in warm water, for sessions lasting less than 1 hour.
Boardshorts are swim shorts and, more generally, a style of swimwear for men and, more recently, women. They were originally developed in the 50s for surfing. In recent years, they have become a popular form of swimwear. The name "boardshorts" comes from their use in water sports that use a board, such as surfing.
FOR SESSIONS LESS THAN 1 HOUR If you're surfing for less than an hour, you'll need men's swimwear that won't ride down every time you go underwater. Short boardshorts can allow for freedom of movement, and are recommended for bodyboarding. They'll dry quickly enough to prevent sand from sticking to your men's boardshorts.
Regarding size selection, we invite you to refer to the size guide on the boardshorts' product page. Hendaia boardshorts are available in sizes S, M, L, XL, and XXL. Your body shape can also help you choose. Here are some tips that may help. If you're more of a muscular type, with your torso and legs, choose a short swimsuit that will highlight your figure. If you're more of a slim and slender type, opt for longer boardshorts!

When you're surfing, whether it's because of a duck or a "wipe out", it's not easy to have to reposition your men's boardshorts because they've slipped down to mid-buttocks... choice of the belt then becomes essential. Choose an elasticated or semi-elasticated waistband with drawstring or a flat waistband for better support.
This is surely the most important criterion. It is common for chafing of the boardshort or its seams to irritate. Our boardshorts are designed, both in terms of the shapes offered and the assembly methods, to limit irritation as much as possible during the time of practice.
It's quite disturbing to feel the sand sticking to your boardshorts because it's still soaked with water. To do this, favor a "Stretch" component which evacuates water more quickly.
The choice of length for your boardshort will mainly depend on your tastes. Be aware, however, that the shorter your swimsuit, the greater the freedom of movement. The length 16 inches corresponds to a length of 41 cm on the median size L

In hot summer weather, with the cool water, surfers tend to extend their surf sessions without adapting their equipment. The risk of sunburn is therefore multiplied. Did you know? 10 to 15% of UV rays are reflected off the water, while 40 to 95% penetrate 25 cm underwater.
