You are a beginner surfer
You start surfing or only surf a few times a year, during your holidays or on a surf trip. You stay where you are, in very small waves or foam. You practice for the pleasure of being in the water and for the sensations it gives you. During your sessions, you fall often but you fall in weak waves. We have designed for you a wide range of swimsuits adapted to your occasional practice and your morphology.
Active at the beach!
Whether you're a surfer or enjoying a swim in the sea, you don't want to lose your swimsuit! That's why we test all of our swimwear in the waves. Each model is designed for surfing and is perfectly suited to other water sports: stand up paddle, windsurfing, kite surfing, swimming, etc.
Morphologie
Along with the sliding triangle top, the tied panties are a must-have for the bikini! It's the basic of the summer wardrobe. Thanks to its very indented shape on the thighs, it visually lengthens the leg. Contrary to popular belief, all women can wear it as long as they are comfortable with their body and in particular their belly, because it is a rather low-waisted panty. The wide side ties can be tightened and ensure that the bottoms stay in the wave.
Wave resistance test
We design swimsuits whose promise is to hold up in the waves. To evaluate them, we call on a panel of surfers with different morphologies who will follow a test protocol in the pool, in our design offices in Hendaye. This protocol aims to reproduce the sensations experienced by the surfer when she is stirred by a wave. If this test is conclusive, we go surfing at sea, testing our swimsuits in real conditions.
Beautiful in our swimsuits
For 6 years, we have been working to accompany women's bodies with an obsession, that women feel beautiful in our swimsuits. The chest is not crushed, the buttocks are not marked, the neckline is enhanced. Our mission is to ensure that every woman, whatever her body, her morphology, her size, finds a swimsuit that suits her.
Dry cutting and wet cutting
To ensure perfect fit in the water, we have to fit our models dry because once in the water, the swimsuits stretch. We therefore advise you to take the right size. The swimsuit must fit snugly on your body in the cabin: you must feel supported. The elastane contained in certain components used in the design of our swimsuits softens and relaxes in the water.
Do you want to exchange your swimsuit?
The size or model does not suit you? would you like to make an exchange in your Decathlon store? No problem, just be careful not to cut the swimsuit tag in case you want to exchange it.
Removal of plastic stickers on our swimsuits
From 2022, all women's swimsuits designed at Decathlon are sold without plastic stickers. Let's make this responsibility a common commitment by keeping your underwear safe when you go to the cabin.

Based in Hendaye, in the southwest of France, OLAIAN is Decathlon's new surf and bodyboard brand. In our offices “feet in the water” we can design a swimsuit in one day, then test it directly at sea to check how well it holds up in the waves.
A note to compare the environmental impact of products
