Easy to assemble and allows you to do hip trusts loaded at the right height and in a stable manner (I am 1,80m tall).
I'm usually a fan of Decathlon products and I find the product to be of poor quality:
- The part where we place our shoulder blades is not perfectly aligned, there is one side of the cushion higher than the other, basically the left shoulder blade is higher than the right when we are sitting to do hip thrust, frankly I don't know if there is quality control but receiving this kind of material raises questions.
- The wooden part slides so it will probably have to be modified.
- the screws are of very poor quality
Overall disappointed, I recommend spending a little more and going for something of quality.
After reading several negative comments, I would like to qualify some feedback that seems unfounded to me. Assembly: The bench assembles very quickly — 15 minutes in my case — without encountering the slightest difficulty, including installing the storage net. Use: I mainly use it for hip thrusts and Bulgarian squats, both performed with a barbell. By wearing shoes suitable for fitness (which seems essential to me), the grip on the wooden surface is excellent. The slipping problem mentioned in some reviews therefore does not arise. The bench remains firmly in place during exercises. The length adjustment is a real strong point, especially for adapting the hip thrust position. It is true that positioning yourself under a bar equipped with 28 mm discs can be less practical, but this is more due to the equipment used than to the bench itself. For my part, I simply add thick foam to raise it. Conclusion: Thanks to Decathlon for offering a bench that's versatile, sturdy (even the backrest), and affordable. A good compromise for serious home use.
