              To take your measurements:

              • Height: Stand against a wall, barefoot or in socks, heels against the wall.
                Stand up straight, then hold a book or flat object above your head.
                Block the book, mark the bottom edge of the book. Measure the distance from the floor to the mark.
              • Head: Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.
              • Main:  Hold a tape measure at the bend of your thumb. Wrap around your palm.
              • Feet: hold on stand against a wall, heels touching the wall. Place an object (eg a book...) against your longest toe.
                Measure the length between the wall and the object.

              SOFT BALL MARKS ON IMPACT

              These soft balls mark as play progresses, due to the nature of the soft treatment which provides good cushioning. If you play in competition, 2 triplets per year are recommended to maintain an optimal quality of play.

              CUSHIONED

              The combination of heat treatment and surface treatment makes the outside of the ball harder than its inside, which gives it optimal cushioning.

              MACHINING OF INNER HULLS

              The half-shells have been machined on the inside before assembly to remove any metal residue and ensure an identical thickness. This process greatly improves the balance of the ball in play.

              COLOR FASTENING

              The color lightens quickly as the games are played.

              Our competition pétanque balls are hollow. Here are the steps in our manufacturing process: - A piece of steel heated to +/- 1000 C° is flattened, then stamped or forged to shape a 1/2 sphere. - These 1/2 spheres are then machined inside then welded and turned to obtain the spherical shape. - The ball is engraved, fired then dipped in baths which will determine its hardness. - Finally, it is polished or varnished then checked.

              At the end of each game, remove the dust with a clean cloth. Once a month, oil the petanque balls to prevent the appearance of rust. Regular maintenance will extend the life of petanque balls, while maintaining the playing qualities.
