To take your measurements:

  • Head:  Wrap a measuring tape around your head, above the eyebrows. Make sure it's parallel to the ground when your head is straight.
  • Chest:  Wrap a measuring tape around your back and come forward as far as your chest goes. Make sure it is straight and parallel to the ground.
    Raise your head, tighten the tape and breathe normally.
  • Size:  Wrap a tape measure around the narrowest part of your waist, above your belly button.

  • Main:  Hold a tape measure at the bend of your thumb. Wrap around your palm.

      Our designers offer you this pole with an innovative grip system to provide safety and optimal comfort during your hikes.

      The story of its development….

      Entirely designed and validated by us. This model uses the A200 chassis. It retains the push-pin adjustment and oversized tubes. Why do we offer this top grip? We found that the classic grip wasn't suitable for everyone, especially over extended periods. So we created this slightly different pole, which prevents wrist strain and better distributes the effort in the arm because it's aligned with the pole's axis.

      How to adjust your poles to the right length?

      The arm at your side should be almost straight or slightly bent. Therefore, the length is shorter than on a standard pole. To achieve this: - pull the bottom section fully until the lower push-pin (metal button) locks - slide the middle tube until the upper push-pin is positioned at the desired hole - use the printed lines on the tubes to align the push-pins with the holes. Never extend beyond the STOP line to avoid the risk of breakage.

      Some advice

      This hiking pole is designed to help you balance, propel yourself, and distribute the effort between your arms and legs. For added safety, check your pole's locking before setting off and at regular intervals by simulating significant pressure. Do not place it on your backpack during thunderstorms. Some users are sensitive to the whistling noise that may temporarily appear when the wind rushes through the adjustment holes.

      Care

      Properly maintaining your poles ensures optimal performance and extends their lifespan. After use, if water has entered the pole, disassemble the sections and allow them to dry. If necessary, clean any dust or mud with water or a soft brush. Once dry, you can reassemble the sections. We recommend against oiling or greasing them.

      Why is the stick sold individually?

      At Decathlon, we have decided to sell our hiking/trekking poles individually. On the one hand for reasons of use. Indeed, some people only want to use a stick. On the other hand, if one of your sticks breaks, this allows you to buy back just one stick rather than a complete pair.
