A pair of glasses developed with top-level athletes

These glasses were developed with the Pink Racers crew training in 49er FX at the Pôle France in Marseille. From the beginning of the project to the photo shoot, Mathilde LOVADINA and Léa PERNET participated in the product development to find the right lens, the right coverage, the right fit, excellent comfort, and a design that allows these glasses to be worn during a day of training or racing.

WHY OFFER 2 SIZES?

This product is in size M but exists in 2 sizes: a size S and a size M to cover a maximum of different faces. The size S corresponds to thin faces, including a majority of female faces and some male faces. The size M corresponds to more medium to wide faces, including a majority of male faces.

BUOYANCY

The buoyancy has been designed so that the product floats horizontally: - thanks to the frame material which offers low density and very good strength, - thanks to an air capsule injected inside each branch, - thanks to the thickness of the lenses

MOUNT

Inserts with a rubber-like material have been added to the inside of the temples and the nose. The material provides comfort and promotes a secure fit on the face, even with perspiration. The nose bridge has been designed to be comfortable and promote air circulation to prevent fogging. Fogging can occur during very intense exercise and in cold outdoor temperatures. The temperature difference can then create fog.

GLASS

Category 3: lets through 8% to 18% of light (protection in sunny weather - Standard: ISO 12312-1 - CE marking). Comfort in bright light 100% ANTI UV filter (UV A and UV B) Polarizing: 95% polarization to eliminate maximum reflections. Material: high-strength polycarbonate plastic Geometry: spherical shape - Base 8 (curved lens allowing a good fit with the face and better lateral protection)

LENS TINT

Lens tint: gray. The gray tint provides excellent reproduction of natural colors and reduces light intensity. This is the most suitable tint for water sports. Mirror effect: this is purely aesthetic. Be careful to protect the lenses well to avoid scratches, which will be more visible on this type of lens.

POLARIZING TECHNOLOGY

Ideal in case of strong glare! The lens blocks indirect rays that arrive from the ground (reflections on snow, the sea or sand), which provides excellent comfort. It highlights contrasts and allows for viewing relief in case of strong glare. Stray reflections are limited to avoid being dazzled. Caution: with polarized lenses, it can be difficult to read screens such as telephones. A rainbow effect appears on the screen.

Anti-UV glass

An anti-UV material, but what's its purpose? To protect your eyes from an invisible danger... UV rays. UV radiation is always present, in winter or summer, on sunny or even overcast days, and it can be harmful to your eyes and their surroundings. To preserve your vision, the lenses of our sunglasses are made of anti-UV polycarbonate, which protects you from the sun's harmful rays (UVA and UVB).

GLASS MATERIAL

Our lenses are made of 1,5mm polycarbonate, a very durable material but whose major drawback is that it is susceptible to scratches. Please note that even if your lenses are scratched, the UV protection is not diminished; the mirror effect is purely aesthetic. The same goes for the color of our sunglasses. Whether they are gray, brown, or colored... you can choose your glasses according to your preferences; you will be protected regardless of the color.

Glare

Classification of tinted glasses according to ISO 12312-1: - Category 1: lightly tinted glass for reduced sunlight. - Category 2: medium tinted glass for average sunlight. - Category 3: dark glass for strong sunlight (sea and mountains). Between 82% and 92% of visible light absorbed - Category 4: very dark glass, for exceptional sunlight (high mountains). Between 92% and 97% of visible light absorbed

ECO CONCEPTION

Our product is eco-designed thanks to the work carried out to limit the thickness of the lens without altering its strength and the quality of vision. By using a 1,5 mm lens instead of 2 mm (thickness mostly used in sunglasses), we limit the CO11 impact of this model by 2%. We continue to work to keep the CO2 impact lower in order to limit their environmental impact as much as possible.
