These surf leggings, available from XS to 3XL, were designed for beginner surfers.
Our UV-protective leggings are designed to meet the needs of even the most demanding surfers. Our design choices also make them suitable for other water sports such as swimming, kitesurfing, windsurfing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, active sea walking (shore walking), and stand-up paddleboarding (SUP).
You start surfing or only surf a few times a year, during your holidays or on a surf trip. You stay where you are, in very small waves or foam. You practice for the pleasure of being in the water and for the sensations it gives you. During your sessions, you fall often but you fall in weak waves. We have designed for you a wide range of swimsuits adapted to your occasional practice and your morphology.
The fabric that makes up these anti-UV leggings blocks at least 98% of UVB and 95% of UVA (UPF 50+). This is the guarantee of effective protection. It can be used in and out of the water for water and aquatic sports. UV filtration is generated by the density of the textile fibers, this protection is resistant over time, even after washing. Be careful, the elastane contained in the fiber can deteriorate in chlorinated water.
These leggings help protect against friction with the board, especially around the knees when lying on the board and inside the thighs when sitting on the board.
UPF is a sun protection index (Ultra Violet Protection Factor) standardized and standardized worldwide. It defines the level of textile protection and more precisely the proportion of UV transmission. In order to meet the standards, it must block at least 95% of UV rays. UPF 50+ means that the textile blocks at least 95% of UVA and 98% of UVB.
The shaping waistband allows the leggings to stay in position even if you fall into the waves. The drawstring at the front of the waistband is designed to connect a UV-protective t-shirt and prevent it from riding up. Please note, this drawstring does not allow for tightening the waist. We recommend using a top 500 women's UV-protective t-shirt (available in short and long sleeves) in addition to these leggings for good protection.
Although these leggings provide protection from the sun, phenomena such as reflection (on water, sand...), heat, time of day, etc. must be taken into account. Wearing these leggings does not exempt you from following appropriate behavior: wearing an anti-UV t-shirt, wearing sunglasses, wearing a hat or cap, regularly applying suitable sunscreen, drinking regularly, etc.
